Käsemacherwelt
Surrounded by forests, ponds and moors, Heidenreichstein in the northern Waldviertel is the starting point for a visit to Käsemacherwelt. At the heart of the attraction is the show production facility, where visitors can take an active role during a guided tour and learn how milk is transformed into the well-known Waldviertel cheese and antipasti specialities.
The product range can be sampled at various stations, including semi-hard and fresh cheeses as well as vegetables and fruit filled with cream cheese. A restaurant and shop complete the experience, while a small petting zoo and play areas provide additional variety for a family day out.
Tours of the show production facility are only available with advance registration, either by telephone or online. Current dates, opening hours and directions can be found on the Käsemacherwelt website.
