Residenz Royal combines the freedom of a holiday apartment with the comfort of a personally managed property. Choose from a range of inviting apartments with approximately 45 to 72 m² of living space – ideal for solo travellers, couples, families, friends and business travellers. Depending on the apartment, up to six guests can stay comfortably together.
Warm colours, carefully selected materials and spacious open-plan kitchens create a welcoming atmosphere. Depending on the category, the apartments offer one or two separate sleeping areas, double or single beds and additional sofa beds. Modern bathrooms with a rain shower and/or bathtub, bed linen, towels and allergy-friendly furnishings complete the comfort.
The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare anything from a light snack to dinner together. Complimentary Nespresso coffee and tea are provided. Wi-Fi, satellite TV and – in selected apartments – a desk also make Residenz Royal a comfortable choice for extended stays and business trips.
The location on Walterstraße is peaceful yet close to the town centre. Gmünd’s old town is only a few minutes away on foot. Blockheide Nature Park, the Teichkettenweg trail and the Sole-Felsen-Bad spa are also nearby – an excellent base for relaxation, outdoor experiences and excursions in the Waldviertel.

Residenz Royal is located on Walterstraße in Gmünd – in a quiet setting, yet only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. The historic old town, with its sgraffito-decorated houses, castle park, cafés and shops, is easy to explore on foot. The location is also ideal for nature and active holidays: Blockheide Nature Park and the Teichkettenweg trail begin practically on the doorstep. Hiking, jogging, Nordic walking and cycling tours can all be started directly from the accommodation. The Sole-Felsen-Bad spa is also within easy walking distance. Its location close to the border also makes Gmünd an excellent base for excursions around the Waldviertel and into neighbouring Czechia.

Regular check-in is available from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Please let us know your approximate arrival time. If reception is unattended when you arrive, you will receive the code for the key safe.
A generous breakfast is either included in the booking price or can be added as an option. As there is no communal breakfast room, guests help themselves at the breakfast corner and then enjoy breakfast in the comfort of their own apartment.

The main entrance is reached via 3 steps. Two apartments/holiday apartments on the ground floor are accessible without further steps. The upper floors can only be reached by stairs.
